Advanced research practicum using qualitative methods of sociological research focusing on ethnographic participant observation and in-depth semi structured interviewing. Students conduct research on topics they choose using qualitative data gathering and analysis techniques. They will collect data in the form of observations and/orinterviews, write fieldnotes, analyze their data through systematic coding techniques, and write and present about their research.
