As part of the new english major this 3000 level course approaches the work of Chaucer by examining intersections among his poetry, his historical moment, and his cultural context. As well as examnining Chancers Canterbury Tales in light of "other" Medieval discourses. We will look closely at the figures of "others" in his texts, including Women, Muslims, and Jews.
