Topics include the imperial crisis that ruptured the relationship of the colonies with England, the War of Independence, the social transformation of the Revolution, Articles of Con-federation, the Constitution, and the ideological differences over the meaning of the Revolution between the Hamiltonian Federalists and the Jeffersonian Republicans.
