Prereq: BIOL 211GS or BIOL 400 or permission This course focuses on the medical aspects of microbiology. The course will cover viruses, bacteria, fungi, and parasitic protists. We will study the mechanisms of infection, disease progression, and immune response. Three hours of laboratory will be required each week. Fee required. Offered Fall, odd-numbered years.
