Prereq: ART 100GS This course is concerned with the theories and philosophies of art methods for teaching young children. This interactive course is designed to give a new perspective on planning and implementing developmentally appropriate programs for children from birth through age eight. In this course we discuss curriculum, assessment, evaluation, and program planning. We will discuss several historical perspectives and theories of child development, and examine best practices for young children in art education. We will also examine key concepts and assessments as they relate to specific art activities.
