Prereq: none This course is intended to introduce the student to the materials, processes and techniques of studio ceramics. Basic handbuilding and wheel throwing techniques are introduced as well as fundamental glazing and firing techniques. Emphasis is placed on craftsmanship and personal creativity. All basic clays and glaze chemicals are provided with the exception of specialized tools, specialized protective clothing and specialized glaze chemicals. (Materials fee of $80.00)
