P: Three (3) credit hours of introductory psychology. Equiv. to IU PSY P326 and PU PSY 22000. Fall, Spring, Summer. This course focuses on how behavior emerges from the organ that produces it, the brain. Topics include evolution and anatomy of the brain, neurophysiology, how brain networks function, and what happens to behavior when the brain has problems. A better understanding of structure-function relationships within the central and peripheral nervous system will be achieved through examples from human neuropsychology and animal behavior.
