Description:
This course provides practice in and clarification of higher-level grammatical structures and development of academic reading skills. The objective is to help non-native speakers of English develop their academic communication skills, primarily in the comprehension, interpretation, and analysis of texts, and their critical thinking skills, including the ability to analyze and synthesize readings. Students will be provided opportunities to use and practice their grammar and reading skills in written assignments, which include responses to and analyses of readings and journals used as models for academic writing.
