B365 Stress and Health (3 cr.) This course will familiarize students with the study of physical health within the field of psychology. Topics include the relationship between stress and health, health promotion, health behaviors, chronic illness, and the patient-physician relationship. Research methods in health psychology as well as major theories underlying the field will be examined and evaluated. Psychological variables related to physical health will be examined within the framework of these theories. Practical application of constructs will be emphasized through activities and writing assignments.
