Painting I focuses on introducing a wide variety of painting materials, media and methods. Developing methods of transferring thinking and concepts into visual ideas through the interdisciplinary techniques of photography, printmaking, drawing, and other media will also be explored. This class will also encourage the student to begin the study of critical theory and how it may be applied to their individual art practice. Prerequisites: ART-121 or permission of the professor.
