This course provides an understanding of sentence parts and patterns, punctuation, usage, and sensitivity to style. Such instruction in traditional grammar can help students (a) write correctly and effectively, (b) apply logical thinking, (c) become wise analysts of texts, and (d) teach others conventional uses of language. WRITING STUDIES. PREREQ ENG 101 or ENG 151H with a grade of C or better.
