This course will examine the status of women in the workforce and discuss issues which women face, including: work-life integration, leadership styles, pay inequity, glass ceilings and sticky floors, pregnancy discrimination, (wo)mentoring, and sex and race discrimination. We also discuss interconnections among equality issues: sex, race, class, age, sexual orientation and disability. We will also focus on organizational changes, e.g., flexible work policies, that ease women's integration of work and family roles. Prerequisite, 101 or consent of the instructor.
