Students will study the creation of songs, with attention to melody writing, harmonization, lyric writing, song forms, style, instrumentation and arranging. Students, working alone or in pairs, will be required to write or revise a song to present to the class for critique. (Oral Presentations.) Prerequisite, Music 109 or 277. One-quarter course credit. Maximum enrollment, 12. Kinkel.
