Description:

Independent study program for students who qualify as candidates for
departmental honors. Students will work closely with a thesis advisor
(chosen from among the Hispanic studies faculty) who will direct and guide the preparation and oral defense of the thesis. Students will normally also choose a second reader. Students must normally have an average of at least 90 in the courses counting toward the concentration at the end of the first semester of the senior year in order to qualify. Honor concentrators must normally take the Senior Seminar (400) during the fall of their senior year.
