Lessing's Minna von Barnhelm and Emilia Galotti, Goethe's Egmont and Iphigenia at Tauris, Schiller's Intrigue and Love and Maria Stuart, and Kleist's Prince Friedrich von Homburg and Penthesilea. Schiller's theory of the drama in the Aesthetics and Naïve and Sentimental poetry. Taught in English. Malloy.
