The diversity of the French-speaking world will provide the material for students' active engagement and greater proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading and writing French. Strengthening of basic grammar, oral practice and conversation, readings in contemporary cultures and social issues. Incorporates texts, films and other activities as the basis for discussion, debate, exposés and short compositions. Three hours of class and session with teaching assistant.
