Introduces candidates to the field of teaching and focuses on the diverse needs of students. Two primary topics will be addressed within the course: An Introduction to Education, and Child Development/Psychology. The course will involve a combination of lecture and site-based experiences within schools. This course is the second of a two course sequence. Prerequisite(s): Acceptance to the Associate of Science in Teaching Program, Candidacy for Graduation, ENGL 101, ENGL 102, MATH 128, Passage of Praxis I (PPST Pre-Professional Skills Test) or possess an ACT composite score of 22 or an SAT combined Verbal and Math score of 1030, TEAC 201, and permission of the program director.
