Description:
General automatic transmission/transaxle skills. Students learn theory of operation, hydraulic principles and torque convertor operation; planetary gear set operation, band/servo, one-way clutch and multiple disc clutch operation. Students check and adjust clutch pack clearance and endplay; use component application charts, a scan tool, DMM and pressure gauges to diagnose electronic transmission concerns. Prerequisite(s): MOVH 101 and MOVH 130 and MOVH 231. Corequisite(s): MOVH 246.
