Description:
Review of basic mathematics skills. This course provides five hours of instruction per week for the student who needs additional time to master the fundamental numerical operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; ratio and proportion; percent; and systems of measurement. Also introduces algebra.   Prerequisite(s): A score of 0- 6 on the Delgado Community College Math Placement Test. Note(s): This is a skills improvement course and may not be used as credit for a certificate or degree. Placement into mathematics courses is based upon placement scores, ACT scores, or a grade of ā€œCā€ or better in the prerequisite course. Students must consult an advisor before selecting a math course. Entrance requirements will be strictly enforced. Only one mathematics course below the course required for the degree and numbered above 100 may be used for elective credit and only if it is taken before the higher-level course.
