This course is concerned with the biological mechanisms and chemistry of reactants and mediators associated with natural and acquired states of immunity, tissue and blood serum responses to infection and immunization. Related pathophysiological alternations of hypersensitivity phenomena in vertebrate animals and man are also discussed. Three hours of lecture and three hours of laboratory per week.
