Development of chemical engineering process models and their numerical solutions. The models include solution of linear and non-linear equations, eigenvalue problems, differentiation, and integration, ordinary differential equations, linear and nonlinear regression. Chemical process simulation using commercial simulators is introduced. A foundation for advanced work in chemical engineering. Prerequisite: CHBE 161; Corequisite: MATH 198; or consent of instructor. SPRING.
