Reinforced concrete carbonation and freezing and thawing; fatigue, brittle fracture, and corrosion of steel; weathering of masonry; degradation of asphalt pavements; deterioration of underground systems; aging of polymer-based construction products such as sealants and coatings. Assessment technologies, including non-destructive testing and mathematical modeling. Laboratory and field experiences.
