Description:
This course explores the works of the greatest of the Latin writers, the Roman poet Publius Vergilius Maro, commonly called Vergil (or Virgil). Students will read selections from all three of Vergils canonical works, the Eclogues, Georgics, and Aeneid, and will learn about the poets development, achievement, and influence. The course is designed for students who have completed intermediate-level Latin and are able to read original Latin texts.
