The study of construction materials and applicable code specifications. Site visits to local construction material manufacturers and material testing labs. Materials studied include concrete, timber, brick, block, asphalt, aluminum and steel. Technical writing of laboratory reports is stressed. One hour of lecture and three hours laboratory per week.
