An introduction to intervention processes relevant to any clinical setting. Critical issues addressed will include the importance and role of appropriate prior diagnostic information; development of intervention plans; assessment of intervention effectiveness; and professional ethics. The necessity for and means of obtaining appropriate professional credentials will also be discussed. Prerequisites: CSD 2259, CSD 3364, and CSD 4563 or CSD 4668; and admission to the Communication Disorders program. Corequisite: CSD 4865. (Meets ASHA III-B, III-C, III-D, III-E, IV-G) (WRITING) [Dual-listed with CSD 5864.] Dual-listed courses require senior standing; juniors may enroll with permission of the department.
