This course concentrates on the study of typography. Course includes a survey of major typographical trends, analysis of letterforms, typesetting methods and the use of type in layout design. Prerequisites: ART 1001 and ART 1003; this course (ART 2102) may be taken at the same time as, but not before ART 1102. Lecture and studio four hours.
