An introduction to the materials and methods particular to the creative use of ceramic mold-making and casting. Students will develop critical and reflective thinking skills with regard to their studio production through research, writing, discussions and presentations. Focus will be on employing ceramic processes and firing methods relevant to content. Prerequisites: ART 1001, ART 1002, and ART 1003, or permission of the instructor. Lecture and studio four hours.
