Description:
Integrates college level reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. Emphasis on summary skills and short responses to college-level readings. Students will write 6,000 instructor-evaluated words. Individual attention given to the structure and usage problems of ESL students through conferencing and computer applications. This course may also be offered online. May be taken for grades or on a pass-no pass basis. PREREQUISITE: Qualifying score on the OCC ESL placement test or completion of ESL A155. Also, qualifying score on the OCC ESL placement test for ESL A151 or completion of ESL A131. Transfer Credit: CSU; UC.
