A technique course in the study of various jazz styles. Emphasizes the use of energy, rhythm, improvisation while emphasizing body control, alignment, use of weight changes and quality within a jazz dance movement vocabulary. Instruction at the intermediate level. May be taken for grades or on a pass-no pass basis. This course may be taken four times. Transfer Credit: CSU, UC.
