Course is designed to provide students with real-life experiences in Biological Science. On-campus work consists of instruction and experience in the preparation; care; and maintenance of equipment, materials, training aids, and specimens used in the Biology Department. The student must also be employed, or serve as a volunteer, in a biology-related setting (e.g., hospital, lab, museum, park) under the supervision of a qualified professional or faculty member. PREREQUISITE: Complete 5.0 units in Biology at Coastline prior to work experience. Instructor permission required. COREQUISITE: Be employed or volunteer in a biology-related setting for 5 hours per week per unit of credit. This course may be taken four times. Graded or Pass/No Pass option.
