Description:
The purpose of this course is to provide the student with an understanding of the basic roles, responsibilities, and duties of a dispatcher within a public safety agency. This course provides standardized dispatcher training and introduces students to the skills and knowledge necessary to work in a communications center in a productive and professional manner. This extended format course is approved by the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) and is designed for the entry level student who is not currently employed as a dispatcher with a public safety agency.
