Structures of amino acids, lipids, carbohydrates, nucleic acids. Protein structure, and folding. Enzyme mechanisms, kinetics, allostery. Membranes. Protein and genetic engineering. Catabolism and anabolism, with emphasis on chemical intermediates, metabolic energy, catalysis by specific enzymes, regulation. Science Requirement: Partial Fulfillment.
