The basic premise of this sculpture course is to acquaint the student with the formal aspects of aesthetic objects. The semester will begin in low relief and work progressively towards fully realized three-dimensional objects. Along the way we will build fundamental skills, working with hand tools, some power tools and building a vocabulary to establish a solid foundation in the conceptual process of making sculpture.
