ARTS 100 - Visual Studies: 2D Design and Color

Considers visual perception and visual problem-solving/figure-field relationships, two-dimensional pattern and form, and theory and dynamics of color. Each semester, section one (Basic Design) will be a project-based class exploring design elements and principles. Section two (Pathway of the Senses) will emphasize a more intuitive and sensory approach to design basics, exploring sound, poetry, landscape and memory as inspiration. Open to nonmajors. Fulfills the Aesthetic Perspective.
