Description:
-
Today, healthcare services are directed as much by governments, banks, transnational corporations, international charities, administrative bureaucracies, and profession organizations as individual medical practitioners. This course introduces students to the vested interests and ideological commitments of these new participants in healthcare and explores how these interests and commitments have shaped medical services throughout the world at the beginning of the 21st century.
