Through study in this course, students should increase their abilities to orally understand and express themselves in Chinese. In class, we will be discussing and analyzing various topics in society and daily life. In particular, students should acquire the ability to systematically and thoroughly express their opinions. Through study of the textbook, students should improve their understanding of Chinese society and culture and hence more effectively establish and foster relationships with local Chinese people.
