The Food Travels study abroad short term course will focus on the diversity of agriculture and touch upon several topics encompassing the global food system. The purpose of this course is to compare selected US agricultural systems with those of another country. Students will have opportunities to describe, analyze and understand the food system at the local, national and international levels. The course will provide a learning enviornment for students to select an agriculture operation, industry or site and by applying what is learned in the classroom compare a United States' agriculture system to a similar one found in another country.
