Includes historical overview; identification of constellations; telescopes; the nature of light, atomic spectra, and structure; the nuclear physics of stars; the life cycle of stars; and current theories of the fate of the universe. Laboratory includes optics, atomic spectra, and observations with simple instruments and telescopes. Includes 2 lab hrs.
