The philosophy and pedagogy of teaching in a middle school is different than teaching in a junior high school. Course activities will help students define, describe, and develop the following components of contemporary middle level schools: appropriate curriculum, content area literacy, interdisciplinary structure, and interdisciplinary teaching.
