This course provides an overview of the nature of energy, its uses, and its effect on the individual, society and the environment. The course will explores the use of energy in contemporary society and the development of renewable energy technologies. Emphasis is placed on conservation, energy efficiency, renewable energy sources and technologies that can be utilized to create a sustainable energy society.
