This course is a study of European literature from the Neoclassical period to the present. Representative works are studied in their historical context. The course includes selections from such areas as Romantic and Victorian poetry, the nineteenth century novel, and existentialism, and such authors as Racine, Voltaire, Austen, Goethe, Dostoyevsky, the Symbolists, Kafka, Woolf, Mann, and the Post-Moderns. >General Education Course.
