This project-based course investigates selected areas of digital multimedia in depth. Students will work singly and in groups on hands-on projects that include subsets of the following: text as a visual design element, 2D bitmap and vector graphics, 3D modeling and animation, audio production, and video production. Open-source and commercial software tools will be used. Emphasis will be on mastery of underlying technologies, processes, techniques, and standards to achieve efficiency and optimization.
