This course introduces the student to the complexities of the legal environment in the information age with a special focus on E-commerce. Topics covered include: basic contract law; current and future contract law for E-commerce; contracting and licensing software; torts and cybertorts; privacy and government regulations; intellectual property laws including patents, trade secrets, copyrights and trademarks; and Internet agreements.
