This course covers characteristics of populations, communities, and ecosystems found in tropical regions. Taught at the Keys Marine Laboratory in Long Key, Florida, during the summer semester, students study coral reef structure and ecology, the intertidal zone, mangrove and terrestrial communities, interstitial organisms, and atrophic relationships.
