This is an advanced design studio that focuses on retail planning and design, as well as the constant evolution of the retail experience. Students are required to analyze branding values, the product image, research the target market, and generate innovative and cutting edge design that compliments the product line. The importance of engaging customers in the physical retail environment to encourage purchase promotion will be reflected as students develop their designs. Furniture and fixture selection and specification help identify the branded space as well as allowing for ease and enjoyment in the retail experience, and addresses customer care needs. This course includes a juried final presentation.
