This is a preparatory Academic English course designed for nonnative students with an Advanced level of English. The concept of "essay" will be introduced and explored. Various types of essays (Process, Comparison/Contrast, Cause/Effect and Argumentative) will be analyzed, followed by students’ own attempts at drafting, writing and editing these types of essays. Instruction will also cover listening and reading skills, as well as note-taking strategies.
