Prerequisite: SOC 101; Minimum grade C- Using a seminar format geared to advanced students, this course offers an in-depth theoretical and empirical view of selected topics in health and illness from a sociological perspective. The interface between social and organizational contexts of health and illness are explored. Models for health evaluation are offered that can be applied to a variety of practice settings.
