Description:
A technique course emphasizing the social and stage dances from the region known as the Near and Middle East. Incorporates choreography, improvisation, movement vocabulary and styling, and finger cymbal playing. Instruction at the high intermediate/advanced levels are offered. May be taken for grades or on a pass-no pass basis. This course may be taken four times. PREREQUISITE: Successful audition; this prerequisite will be validated in class during the first week of the course. Transfer Credit: CSU; UC.
