CLS majors apply for admittance to the St. John Mercy Medical Center School of Clinical Laboratory Science in November of their junior year (if in the 4 year program) or senior year (if in the 5 year program). The internship is a 51 week program providing lectures and bench instruction in each of the major clinical areas. Note: Upon successful completion of the program, students are eligible to sit for a national certification examination.
