Prerequisite: EDUC 200 This course explores data and best practice recommendations for teaching health in schools. Students complete a comprehensive school/community health survey and implement a health lesson in an elementary or early childhood classroom. Emergency procedures as well as ethical decisions teachers face are addressed. Note: When taken for graduate credit, additional research into a topic of choice is required. Requires a school placement.
